The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thurman throws an overhand right that lands on Spencer's shoulder, as Spencer tries to avoid the shot.
Thurman lands a nice shot to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Spencer.
Spencer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Thurman misses with a wild body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Spencer! But no joy.

Thurman darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Spencer uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
James Spencer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thurman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Spencer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Thurman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Spencer.
Spencer connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Thurman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spencer moves away.
Spencer was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Thurman slips a straight right by Spencer.
Spencer lands a leg kick that knocks Thurman off balance momentarily.
Thurman has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MONEY TEAM!!! in the buildup to the fight.
Spencer ducks under a wild hook from Thurman .
Spencer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oh Thurman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Spencer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Thurman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Spencer drops Thurman with a straight right hand, right on the button! Spencer follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
