Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between George Backman (ranked 2053 p4p, 1555 weight class) and Daniel Mendoza (ranked 224 p4p, 179 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Mendoza.
Mendoza throws a right hand that misses
and Backman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mendoza misses with a left hand
and Backman counters with a nice leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Backman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A telegraphed right hand from Mendoza misses the target.
Backman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Daniel Mendoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mendoza throws out a loose jab but Backman uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mendoza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Backman manages to avoid it.
Mendoza has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

A little jabbing left from Mendoza on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Backman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

As Mendoza looks to move away, Backman throws a big counter combo but Mendoza just gets out of the way.

Mendoza connects with a stiff jab that staggers Backman - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
