Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Green (ranked 220 p4p, 128 weight class) and Kofi Ousmane (ranked 29 p4p, 17 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Green!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Kofi Ousmane!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ousmane misses with a straight left.
Green tries to counter with a takedown but Ousmane is quick to defend against it.
Ousmane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Green attempts a counter takedown but Ousmane avoids it well and moves away.
Green avoids the body shot from Ousmane.
Green throws a hook to the side of Ousmane's head but Ousmane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Green looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Green takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Green wants to pass the guard but Ousmane is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Green looking to sit in guard and control but Ousmane gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Green slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Ousmane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Green moves away.

That was a close round but Ed Green did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
