Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitsugu Takeishi (ranked 2049 p4p, 2881 weight class) and Theogenes Pankratios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeishi comes to the cage accompanied by Kabuki Gomen-Jyo. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitsugu Takeishi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Theogenes Pankratios! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takeishi gets a clinch. Pankratios throws a head punch that misses. Pankratios should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Takeishi breaks the clinch.
Pankratios scores with the left hand. Takeishi knows he should have avoided that one. A telegraphed right hand from Pankratios misses the target. Takeishi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Silverback MMA in the buildup to the fight. Pankratios thows a left - swing and a miss! Pankratios throws a lazy uppercut
and Takeishi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Takeishi closes the distance and clinches. Takeishi scores with a shot to the side of Pankratios's head. Takeishi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Takeishi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pankratios misses the jab. Pankratios swings widly with a right hand
and Takeishi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takeishi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Takeishi works the jab nicely. Pankratios slips a jab and a cross from Takeishi.
Pankratios looks to throw the jab but Takeishi is out of range. Takeishi defending well as Pankratios loads up on a big left hand. Takeishi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Pankratios looks to land a right hand but Takeishi moved out of range. An attempted straight right counter from Takeishi misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takeishi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Takeishi lands with a right to the head. Pankratios working aggressively here.

Takeishi drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Pankratios right on the button. Pankratios goes down! Takeishi follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Takeishi gets the win via TKO!
