Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Sanchez (ranked 2611 p4p, 18750 weight class) and Anirudh Negi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernesto Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anirudh Negi! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Negi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Negi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sanchez has escaped the position, nice work there. Negi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Negi trying to control the position but Sanchez is working away. You can see the frustration on Sanchez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sanchez is looking to reverse the position. Negi tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Sanchez wants to control but Negi postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Negi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The fighters are battling for position here. Sanchez manages to regain full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanchez is on top in guard.
Negi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sanchez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sanchez throws a big right hand that misses. Negi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sanchez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Negi looking to control.
Negi trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Sanchez throws an elbow that misses. Negi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanchez's guard. Nice move by Negi!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Negi controlling him for the moment. Sanchez is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sanchez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sanchez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Negi sees it coming and defends easily. Sanchez wants to work for an arm triangle but Negi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sanchez is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Negi is defending against the submission attempts here by Sanchez.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Negi to regain full guard. Sanchez slips nicely into half guard. Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sanchez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Negi is looking to improve his position.
Sanchez wants to free his trapped foot but Negi is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sanchez controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Negi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sanchez is working for a submission of some sort.
Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Negi defends it well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sanchez wants to take a breather but Negi is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ernesto Sanchez dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Negi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sanchez on his heels. He'll look to pass Sanchez's guard now, I'm sure. Sanchez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sanchez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Negi wants to sweep but no luck. Sanchez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Negi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ernesto Sanchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sanchez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Negi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Negi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sanchez, into his guard.

Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Negi's guard. Sanchez stands up over Negi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sanchez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Sanchez trying to move into half guard but instead Negi has managed to sweep! Negi preventing the sweep. Sanchez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez seems keen to control Negi's posture. Sanchez looking for a triangle here. Negi is fighting it but it looks tight! Sanchez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Negi is tapping out - this one is all over!
