Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Cowan (ranked 663 p4p, 708 weight class) and Johnny Albatross (ranked 41 p4p, 43 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Albatross!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albatross on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cowan ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cowan takes one on the button.
Cowan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Albatross rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cowan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Albatross tries to score with a low kick but Cowan moves his leg out of the way.
Albatross throws a body kick, spinning off balance

Albatross has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Albatross is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cowan.
Cowan looks to land a left hand but Albatross moved out of range nicely.
Cowan misses the shot to the body.
Cowan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Albatross's corner calls for a 1-2. Albatross obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Cowan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Albatross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Albatross might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Cowan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Albatross has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Cowan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Albatross manages to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Cowan was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Albatross.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Albatross grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Cowan takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Albatross cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
