The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viking throws a quick inside leg kick.
Puno misses with an uppercut
and Viking counters with a stiff right hand.
Puno rushes Viking and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Viking lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Jeronimo Puno has been cut.
Viking throws an elbow but it misses.
Viking misses with a hook to the ribs.
Viking misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Puno.
Viking tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Our sources have told us that Puno has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Puno tries to throw a body punch but Viking avoids it by throwing Puno back against the cage.

Viking is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Viking goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Viking pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Viking tries to land a knee to the head but Puno blocks with his arms.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Puno unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Viking! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Puno is unloading with more strikes now! Viking drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
