PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santino Cabal (ranked 3409 p4p, 2907 weight class) and William H Bonney (ranked 421 p4p, 375 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that William H Bonney was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Cabal's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Cabal is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bonney darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Cabal takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looked like Cabal wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Bonney in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
