Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cedric Pollard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Butler Hickok!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickok lunges at Pollard with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pollard's hand.
It looks like Cedric Pollard has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pollard tries to land a leg kick but Hickok saw it coming and moves away.
Hickok misses with a looping left.
Pollard thinks about countering with a body kick.
Pollard thuds a left hand into Hickok's body.
Pollard throws a push kick but Hickok slaps the foot to one side.
Pollard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hickok throws a jab but it's blocked by Pollard.
Hickok lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Pollard sprawling to the canvas. Hickok follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Pollard hang on?
Pollard is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hickok decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Oh Pollard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hickok connects with a body shot that sends Pollard's belly button to the back.
Pollard seems to have got his legs back now.
Hickok measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Pollard! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). James Butler Hickok!
