Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Zhdanov!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durand circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zhdanov misses with a straight left.
Durand was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Zhdanov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Zhdanov throws out a counter right but Durand avoids it with no problem.
Durand misses with a hook. Zhdanov ducked under it nicely.
Durand jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Roman Zhdanov has been cut.
A lazy left from Durand finds it's target.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Durand drops Zhdanov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zhdanov looks back up at him and smiles so Durand waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zhdanov is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Durand tries to throw a body punch but Zhdanov avoids it by throwing Durand back against the cage.

Durand pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zhdanov tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Durand was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Zhdanov.
Zhdanov sizes up Durand with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The crowd cheers as Durand lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zhdanov doesn't seem phased though.
That has opened up Roman Zhdanov's cut even more.
Durand scores with a hook to the body. Zhdanov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Zhdanov misses with a looping right.

and Durand counters with a crisp right hand that drops Zhdanov! Durand lets Zhdanov back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Durand throws out a loose jab but Zhdanov uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jules Durand dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Zhdanov throws a leg kick
and Durand scores with a counter punch that sends Zhdanov to the canvas! Durand smells blood - he's punishing Zhdanov with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Zhdanov has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jules Durand!
A very excited looking Jules Durand made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
