Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bill Brown (ranked 1145 p4p, 2816 weight class) and Davido Monto (ranked 171 p4p, 377 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bill Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Davido Monto!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Brown.
Monto fails with the takedown.
Monto closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brown quickly recovers to half guard.
Brown looks like he's trying to stand up.
Monto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Monto throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Monto prevents Brown from standing back up.

Monto thows a huge punch but Brown dodges it nicely.
Brown is trying to stand.
Monto thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Monto seems to be looking for submissions.
Monto throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Brown has one foot on Monto's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Brown leaves Monto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Monto slips a straight right by Brown.

and Monto counters with a single leg into guard. Brown didn't expect that.
Monto wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.
Monto won't allow Brown to get back to his feet.
Monto is looking to work some ground and pound but Brown has wrist control.
Brown has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Monto is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Monto jumps guard but Brown turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bill Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davido Monto.
Monto is trying to pull guard but Brown has him pressed against the cage.
Brown pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Monto or perhaps it was just good defense by Brown, which made it look bad.
Monto misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Monto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Monto blocks the body kick.
Monto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brown throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Bill Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monto takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Monto tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brown defends well and Monto ends up having to push Brown into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bill Brown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brown lands a big head kick that sends Monto tumbling to the mat! Brown takes a step backwards and waves Monto back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Davido Monto has been cut.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Monto.

An attempted straight right counter from Brown misses the target.
Monto closes the distance and clinches up with Brown, looking for a takedown. Monto pushes Brown against the cage but Brown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Brown and Monto are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Brown throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Monto into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Brown knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bill Brown!
After winning the bout, Bill Brown thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
