Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zee Land (ranked 237 p4p, 448 weight class) and Marshal Mayhem (ranked 33 p4p, 57 weight class). Land's entrance music is For Heavy Metal we will die!. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zee Land!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshal Mayhem!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Land throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Land bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mayhem jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Land really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Land scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A looping hook to the body misses from Land. Mayhem does a little dance to reset his feet.
Land fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mayhem tries a quick counter leg kick but Land is wise to it.

Land swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mayhem.

Land takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Land is looking to slow Mayhem down with leg kicks.
Mayhem lunges at Land with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Land's hand.
Land stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A left lands for Land.
Mayhem takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Land throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mayhem tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Land is in Mayhem's guard.
Land wants to control from the top but Mayhem keeps moving.
Mayhem has Land pulled in close to control his posture.
Mayhem looking for a sweep. Not yet Mayhem, not yet.
Land stays in close to Mayhem's body and controls the position.
Land working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Land goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mayhem has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Land but great work by Mayhem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mayhem working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Land is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Mayhem wants to lay and pray for a moment but Land keeps working.
Mayhem uses his free foot to push down on Land's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Land.
Land is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Heavy Metal, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Land tries to hold on but Mayhem postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Land sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Land keeping moving, preventing Mayhem from controlling successfully.

Land is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mayhem is aware though and is defending well.
Land working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mayhem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mayhem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's time! Land's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Land cracks Mayhem with a right hand to the side of the head.

Land tests Mayhem's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mayhem keeps the fight on the outside.
Land lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mayhem on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Land throws a right and a left that Mayhem avoids nicely.
Land darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Land shoots for a double leg takedown but Mayhem sprawls well. He's pushed Land's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Land motions for Mayhem to come forward. Land throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Land is looking to chop away at Mayhem's legs.
Land is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mayhem can do to turn this around?

Land throws a lazy right hand but Mayhem sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
It seemed like Mayhem was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Mayhem swings for the body but Land moves out of range.

Land had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mayhem defends it easily.

Mayhem got a little sloppy there for a moment and Land has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mayhem has managed to get both his arms back between Land's legs - danger averted.
Mayhem is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Land is looking for a choke. Mayhem gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Mayhem manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mayhem slips nicely into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A telegraphed right hand from Land misses the target.
Mayhem walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Land digs a good body shot into Mayhem's ribs.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Land lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mayhem has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mayhem and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Zee Land overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Land is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Mayhem looks calm but he's in trouble here. Land gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Mayhem is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Land lets go of the hold and Mayhem can pop his arm back in it's socket.

After winning the bout, Zee Land thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
