Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cody Lake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eivind Osterholt!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lake displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Osterholt.
Lake lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Eivind Osterholt has been cut.
Osterholt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A quick step to the side and Lake tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cody Lake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Lake finds it's way through Osterholt's defenses.
Osterholt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Osterholt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lake to score with a decent uppercut.
Osterholt is rocked!
Osterholt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Osterholt is still on wobbly legs! Can Lake finish him?
Osterholt walks straight into a right hand from Lake - that's dropped him! Lake jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Osterholt from any more punishment! Osterholt complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Cody Lake!
Cody Lake tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
