The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honey throws a sloppy body shot
and Gentil connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A jab from Gentil finds it's way through Honey's defenses.
Gentil slips a straight right by Honey.
Gentil looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Honey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gentil, pushing him back against the cage.
Gentil scores with a shot to the side of Honey's head.
Gentil tries to break free but Honey pushes him back against the cage.

Gentil pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

letting Gentil counter with a right hand.

Gentil throws a series of punches but Honey avoids them all with ease.
Gentil takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gentil's jab looks to have found its range, popping Honey under the eye.
Honey pivots, looking for a leg kick but Gentil is out of range and Honey settles back down.
Gentil catches Honey with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gentil looks to score with a jab to the body but Honey is just out of range.

Honey throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Honey shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gentil eats them both and turns towards Honey to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Honey looks to score with a jab to the body but Gentil is just out of range.
Gentil looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Honey lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Honey avoids the body shot from Gentil.
Honey throws out a powerful jab.
Honey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gentil manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gentil is looking for the big counter here.
Honey takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Honey is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Honey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Honey throws out a loose jab but Gentil uses good head movement to avoid it.
Honey wants to clinch.

Gentil takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Honey doesn't manage to clinch there - Gentil circles away.
Hugh Honey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gentil circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Honey drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Gentil follows Honey to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
