The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Viking's hands.
It looks like Andy Viking has been cut.
McGuire is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Viking flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Viking is out cold! McGuire holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kevin McGuire!
After winning the bout, Kevin McGuire thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
