Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beau Canada (ranked 470 p4p, 285 weight class) and Hargol Svenkter (ranked 25 p4p, 20 weight class). Svenkter has chosen heavy bass test as his entrance music. Hargol Svenkter has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beau Canada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hargol Svenkter!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Canada shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Svenkter napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Svenkter tries to improve position but can't.
Canada working the head with strikes.
Canada misses with the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Svenkter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Canada wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Svenkter defending against the ground and pound.
Canada in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The strikes coming from Canada are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Canada just content to control the position.
Canada cracks Svenkter with a big elbow.
Canada wants to control but Svenkter is keeping him busy.
Canada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Svenkter trying to remain calm as Canada controls from the top position.

Canada in side control lands a decent elbow.

It looks like Hargol Svenkter has been cut.
Canada definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Svenkter is looking to reverse the position.
Canada controlling from side mount.
Svenkter struggling a bit here.
Canada wants to lay and pray for a moment but Svenkter keeps working.
Canada remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Svenkter can't do much from the bottom here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Svenkter tries to improve position but can't.
Canada scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Svenkter to see if he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Svenkter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Svenkter gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Canada is looking to take a break and control but Svenkter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Canada is taking a breather. Svenkter says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Canada prevents Svenkter from improving his position.

Canada throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Svenkter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Canada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Svenkter wants to improve his position but Canada is controlling well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Canada lands a nice short elbow.

Svenkter is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Canada thows a huge punch but Svenkter dodges it nicely.
Svenkter is looking to control Canada's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Svenkter avoid being mounted?

Canada is nestled in close to Svenkter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That has opened up Hargol Svenkter's cut even more.
Canada working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Hargol Svenkter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hargol Svenkter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Beau Canada!
During a confident post fight interview, Beau Canada thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
