Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Zweihander (ranked 1153 p4p, 3526 weight class) and Andre Salaam (ranked 166 p4p, 428 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zweihander throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A shot to the body from Salaam misses
and Zweihander counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Andre Salaam has been cut.
Salaam looks to land a left hand but Zweihander moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Zweihander throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Salaam throws a lazy uppercut
and Salaam takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zweihander feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Salaam sprawling to the canvas! Salaam rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Zweihander finish him?!
Salaam is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salaam gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Zweihander gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurt Zweihander!
