Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darren Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Balagot Liu!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu misses with a double jab.
Dixon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lius jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dixon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Liu.
Balagot Liu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dixon changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Dixon slips a jab from Liu.
Dixon feinted with a counter takedown.
Dixon moves out of range of the leg kick from Liu.
Liu looks to land a left hand but Dixon moved out of range nicely.
Dixon drops down looking for a counter takedown but Liu sprawls and moves away.
Dixon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Liu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Dixon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Dixon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Liu is just riding it out for now. Dixon eventually gives up the hold.
Dixon is taking a breather. Liu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Liu pushes Dixon off looking to stand but Dixon dives back in and keeps control.
Dixon wants to free his trapped foot but Liu is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Dixon passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Liu!

Dixon with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Liu told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Liu really wants to buck Dixon off and get back to his feet.

Dixon is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Liu has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Liu is controlling an arm, preventing Dixon from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Dixon wants to control but Liu is keeping busy.
