Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mama Tosen (ranked 1435 p4p, 698 weight class) and Bert River (ranked 162 p4p, 81 weight class). River has chosen Five Finger Death Punch- Bad Company as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bert River!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River just misses with a punch to the body.
River takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bert River seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tosen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tosen on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Tosen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
River turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
River misses with a body shot
and Tosen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tosen has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Punch Out Gym in the buildup to the fight.
River thuds a left hand into Tosen's body.
Tosen throws a body shot but no joy.
River fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tosen is out of range.
River throws a hook to the side of Tosen's head but Tosen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
River scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tosen moves in looking to clinch but River pushes him off.
River throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tosen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tosen throws out a powerful jab.
Tosen bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Tosen throws a leg kick but River moved away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
River tries a head kick but it misses.
River thows a left - swing and a miss!
As River backs away, Tosen returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
River jabs Tosen to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nice defenses there by Tosen.
River throws a right hand that misses
and Tosen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tosen circles away from the clinch attempt.
River throws out a loose jab but Tosen uses good head movement to avoid it.
River on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tosen. Tosen obviously looking to wear him down.
Tosen's corner calls for a 1-2. Tosen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
River throws a hook but Tosen avoids it easily.
Tosen slips under a jab.
Tosen lands with a kick to the ribs.
River shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tosen but Tosen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tosen wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Tosen tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

River tries to sprawl but Tosen drives through with a takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
River is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tosen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but River does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

River looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Tosen wants to pass the guard but River is defending well.
River wants to get back to full guard but Tosen has passed into side control.
River is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tosen prevents River from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

River is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Tosen is tapping! Great win for River!
