Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyle Alzado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Theodore Nouveau!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alzado throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Theodore Nouveau has been cut.
Alzado throws a body punch but Nouveau moves out of range.
Alzado throws a combination that misses
and Nouveau counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Nouveau is working for a submission of some sort.
Nouveau is looking to take a break and control but Alzado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nouveau is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nouveau is looking to advance position but Alzado won't allow it.

Nouveau changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alzado looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Nouveau is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alzado is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nouveau wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alzado, who protects the arm well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nouveau dives in and grabs Alzado's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alzado pushes down on Nouveau's head and hops out.

and Nouveau counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Alzado misses with a low kick.
Alzado misses with a series of wild punches.
Alzado moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nouveau is rocked!

Alzado throws a hook to the side of Nouveau's head but Nouveau sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nouveau misses with a takedown attempt - Alzado sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nouveau changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alzado tries to avoid it but Nouveau manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alzado to the ground. Alzado escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lyle Alzado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theodore Nouveau.
Nouveau shoots in for a double leg but Alzado sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lyle Alzado is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Nouveau shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alzado as he jumps to the side.

Alzado throws a counter high kick but Nouveau was just alert enough to avoid it.
Nouveau is breathing heavily.
Alzado thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nouveau gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Alzado gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Nouveau is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyle Alzado!
Our winner, Lyle Alzado, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
In defeat, Theodore Nouveau stepped up to the mic, saying 'what a mess...'.
