Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Chaos (ranked 38 p4p, 87 weight class) and Jimmy Lee (ranked 8 p4p, 16 weight class). Chaos comes into the arena with Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Chaos!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Lee!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Chaos finds it's target.
Chaos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've been hearing reports that Chaos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chaos.
Lee looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Chaos moves out of range of the strikes.
Chaos scores with a nice strike.
Lee goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Chaos lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Chaos on that attempt.
Chaos sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chaos.
Lee was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chaos looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range.
Chaos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lee in his tracks.

Lee rushes Chaos and presses him up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Chaos avoids it.
Chaos struggles to land a body shot inside as Lee controls his hands.

Chaos throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lee uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chaos distracts Lee with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Chaos looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lee engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Chaos looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lee has picked Chaos up and slammed him! Chaos can't keep hold of the triangle and Lee manages to pass to side control!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Chaos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Chaos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lee lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Chaos connects with a crisp jab.
Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chaos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Chaos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chaos connects with a looping right hand.
Lee walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Chaos throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it.
Chaos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it.

Chaos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee.

Chaos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee defends it nicely.

Lee looks to land a left hand but Chaos moved out of range nicely.
Chaos keeps the fight on the outside.
Chaos throws a body shot but no joy.
A big right from Lee misses.

Chaos scores with a takedown into Lee's guard.

Chaos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.

Lee controls Chaos momentarily but Chaos frees himself.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chaos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chaos stands and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Chaos looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Lee is avoiding damage well.

Chaos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Chaos wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.
Chaos throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Lee works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Chaos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
Chaos thows a huge punch but Lee dodges it nicely.

Chaos is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Chaos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lee can do to turn this around?
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.

Lee throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chaos on the side of the head.

Lee connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chaos.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chaos takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Jimmy Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chaos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lee counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Lee with a nice calf kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chaos, as that shot connected.
Chaos cracks Lee with a right hand to the side of the head.
The crowd cheers as Lee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chaos doesn't seem phased though.

Chaos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lee to the ground. Chaos is now in Lee's guard.
Chaos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chaos throws an elbow that misses. Lee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chaos's guard. Nice move by Lee!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chaos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Chaos working for submissions but it's allowed Lee to get to half guard.
Lee prevents Chaos from improving his position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chaos moves into full guard.
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Chaos is retaining full guard.

Chaos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Chaos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
