Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Mikhailov (ranked 2928 p4p, 2780 weight class) and Kung Li (ranked 302 p4p, 291 weight class). Mikhailov comes to the cage accompanied by Положение (2 Remix). Kung Li has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexei Mikhailov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kung Li! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mikhailov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A little jabbing left from Li on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've been hearing reports that Mikhailov has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Mikhailov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Li manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mikhailov looks to clinch and Li counters with a nice uppercut. Mikhailov wants to clinch. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Li! But no joy. Mikhailov gets a clinch. Li lands with a short head shot on the inside. Li lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Li has a couple of punches blocked by Mikhailov.
Li misses with a punch on the inside.
Li lands a hook to the side of the head.
Mikhailov is rocked! Mikhailov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Li pulls him back up using the underhooks. Mikhailov can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexei Mikhailov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mikhailov tries to score a body lock takedown but Li shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Mikhailov wants to take the fight to the mat but Li manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Li lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mikhailov backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Li. Oh Mikhailov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Li lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Li pushes Mikhailov against the cage. Li is working some dirty boxing. Li pushes off with a quick right hook! Mikhailov goes down! Mikhailov tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Li moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kung Li! A less than humble Kung Li misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
