Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marshal Mayhem (ranked 1123 p4p, 1198 weight class) and Jane Malley (ranked 159 p4p, 167 weight class). Marshal Mayhem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshal Mayhem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jane Malley!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ron Honeybunn and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhem looks for the body kick but Malley saw that one coming.
Mayhem bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mayhem connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mayhem lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Malley cracks Mayhem with an open hand slap.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Malley, as that shot connected.
Mayhem bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Malley's head.

Malley has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Malley might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Malley cracks Mayhem with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marshal Mayhem will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Malley lands a big head kick that sends Mayhem tumbling to the mat! Malley takes a step backwards and waves Mayhem back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Malley circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mayhem to the canvas! Mayhem doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Malley keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Jane Malley thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
