The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

No joy there for Maca Jr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hanson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Maca Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Hanson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maca Jr cracks Hanson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hanson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Maca Jr finds it's way round the side to connect with Hanson's head.

Maca Jr throws a hook to the side of Hanson's head but Hanson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And Hanson tries to counter it with a takedown but Maca Jr pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hanson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hanson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Maca Jr is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
