The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy moves away from the strike by Higgins.
Kennedy is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Higgins misses with an uppercut
enabling Kennedy to counter with a crisp jab.
A shot to the body from Higgins misses
and Kennedy counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Lou Higgins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Higgins will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

As Kennedy looks to move away, Higgins throws a big counter combo but Kennedy just gets out of the way.
Higgins takes a swing at Kennedy's ribcage but misses.

Oooooh!!! Higgins has knocked Kennedy down with a huge combo! Higgins steps away and waves a wobbly Kennedy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Leonzar Kennedy has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kennedy ducks into an uppercut from Higgins and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
