Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Alvarez (ranked 6157 p4p, 5688 weight class) and Dylan Sydal (ranked 596 p4p, 573 weight class). Alvarez comes to the cage accompanied by Jak Bailey - Sunset N Santa Fe. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Francisco Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dylan Sydal!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez connects with a looping right hand.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Alvarez enables Sydal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alvarez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Alvarez scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sydal walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Dylan Sydal has been cut.
Alvarez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alvarez wants it to stay on the feet.
Sydal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sydal on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sydal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Alvarez throws a series of punches but Sydal avoids them all with ease.
Sydal gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Sydal tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Alvarez is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Sydal buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Sydal!! Sydal is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Alvarez throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Francisco Alvarez!
A relieved looking Francisco Alvarez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
