Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Colson (ranked 1967 p4p, 3372 weight class) and Dong Labelle (ranked 260 p4p, 408 weight class). Derrick Colson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derrick Colson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dong Labelle! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Labelle throws a big shot that misses. Colson wants to clinch and Labelle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Colson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Labelle swats him away and circles back towards the center. Labelle lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Labelle throws a series of punches but Colson moves out of range. Labelle throws a hook but Colson avoids it easily. Colson is looking to clinch but Labelle is avoiding it.
Labelle circles away from the clinch attempt and Colson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Colson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Colson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Labelle lands a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Colson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Colson jumps guard but Labelle stands there with Colson around his waist. Colson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Colson pulls guard effortlessly. Labelle tries to free his leg and advance position but Colson is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Labelle should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Colson has tightened it up now! Labelle should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
