The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob misses with an uppercut.
Gomez is looking to clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bob has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gomez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bob.
Bob takes a swing at Gomez's ribcage but misses.
Gomez appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Gomez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bob's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gomez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bob scrambles back to his feet.
We've been told by Gomez's head coaches at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gomez swings for the body but Bob moves out of range.

Bob bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gomez's head backwards.

Bob uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gomez.

Bob breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bob stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gomez throws a looping overhand right but Bob ducks down to avoid it.
Bob darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gomez, as that shot connected.
Gomez throws a nice looking combination but Bob bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bob rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gomez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bob has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gomez finds it's way round the side to connect with Bob's head.

Bob lands a really nice looking cross but Gomez seems unphased.

Gomez throws a half hearted mid kick.
Gomez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bob.
Gomez scores with a jab. Bob acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Gomez is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Gomez throws a jab when Bob was well out of range.

Bob gets tackled into the cage by Gomez. Gomez maintains the clinch.
Bob stalling in the clinch but Gomez improves position.

Gomez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bob takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Bob cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bob throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gomez throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Schwartz Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomez swings for the body but Bob moves out of range.
Bob is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Bob looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gomez cracks Bob with a good jab.
Bob might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Gomez drops Bob with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Bob! Gomez dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
