The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luke lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Turner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Luke moves away.
Luke misses with a two punch combination.
Turner moves in looking to clinch but Luke pushes him off.
Luke waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Turner.
Turner tries to clinch but Luke is having none of it.
Turner misses with a series of wild punches.
Luke scores with a jab. Turner acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Luke scores with a jab to the jaw.
Turner is looking to clinch but Luke is avoiding it.
Luke shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Luke was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luke pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Turner is rocked!
Luke putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Turner is still in real trouble! Can Luke finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turner tries to reverse the position but Luke maintains control.
Luke breaks from Turner's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Turner's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Turner looks gassed!
Luke lands a big shot to the head and Turner winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
