Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Choke (ranked 69 p4p, 124 weight class) and Ife Edwards (ranked 14 p4p, 22 weight class). Edwards has chosen Damian Marley - Road to Zion as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ife Edwards was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Edwards sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Choke closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Edwards did well to prevent Choke getting side control.
Edwards tries to kick Choke off but Choke keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Edwards holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Choke is looking for a kimura but Edwards is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Choke to get the leverage.

Choke is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Edwards doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Choke.
Edwards is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards is trying to maintain the position but Choke is very close to passing his half guard.

Choke has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Edwards defend it? Choke steps over the head and cranks it - Edwards is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Choke!
