Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seth Smith (ranked 3332 p4p, 3477 weight class) and Alexander Morrison (ranked 366 p4p, 379 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seth Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Morrison! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith misses with a takedown and Morrison counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Smith drops his hands momentarily and Morrison takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Seth Smith has been cut. Smith takes a body punch but keeps moving. Morrison closes the distance and lands a one-two. Smith drives through with a takedown into guard. Smith is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Smith trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Morrison looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morrison avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smith throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Morrison can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Smith controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith throwing strikes from guard but Morrison blocks nicely. Smith wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Morrison lands with a cross. Smith looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Morrison misses with an uppercut. Smith drops down looking for a counter takedown but Morrison sprawls and moves away. Smith tries for a takedown but Morrison circles away easily and Morrison counters with a lovely straight right hand! Smith has a takedown stuffed. Morrison is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Smith with a body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seth Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morrison looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range. Morrison uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smith has time to react. Morrison defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith. Morrison is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Morrison counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Morrison lands with a shot to the body. Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Alexander Morrison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Danga de danga de dang - Morrison scores with a four punch combination! Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Smith wants to work for an arm triangle but Morrison is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Morrison tries to roll over but Smith keeps him under control. Smith trying to control the action but Morrison is working from the bottom. Smith in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Morrison tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Smith!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Seth Smith! Seth Smith really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Urban Fighter logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
