Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Smith (ranked 294 p4p, 347 weight class) and DeShawn West (ranked 3 p4p, 6 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with IS THIS LOVE blaring out of the sound system. West comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Can’t Be Touched - Roy Jones Jr kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DeShawn West!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West throws a hook but Smith blocks it.
Smith has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
West bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Smith's head backwards.
Smith lands an overhand right.
It looks like DeShawn West has been cut.
West throws a lazy right hand but Smith sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Smith gets a clinch.
West misses with a punch to the body.
Smith lands a shoulder strike.
West lands a right hand.
Smith blocks an uppercut.
West tries to work over Smith's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Smith digs a right hand into West's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on West's gas tank.
Smith lands with a left to the head.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with West's elbow.

Smith keeps the fight in the clinch, despite West's efforts to push away.
West struggles to land a body shot inside as Smith controls his hands.

West lands a left hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
West goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Smith blocks an uppercut.
Smith lands on the inside with an uppercut.
West blocks a body shot from Smith.
Smith lands a body shot.
Smith lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
West misses with a punch on the inside.
Smith digs a right hand underneath West's ribcage. West let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with West's elbow.
Smith drops West with a big knee straight up the middle! West is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
West looks winded!
Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smith feints and then cracks West's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow West down.
Smith cracks West with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! West falls to his knees and Smith doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Smith!
A very excited looking Kenny Smith made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
