The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hussein lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Piotr Karpinov has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hussein darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Karpinov throws a sloppy head kick and Hussein moves out of range easily.
No luck for Karpinov with that takedown attempt.
Hussein goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hussein jabs Karpinov right on the nose. Karpinov blinks but takes it well.
Karpinov moves into range and connects with a jab.
Karpinov lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hussein misses with a body shot.
Hussein lands with a shot to the body.
Karpinov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hussein fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ghazala Hussein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Karpinov misses with a double jab
and Hussein scores with a counter punch that sends Karpinov to the canvas! Hussein smells blood - he's punishing Karpinov with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Karpinov has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
