Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Faulk (ranked 527 p4p, 1269 weight class) and Alexander Rusev (ranked 74 p4p, 173 weight class). Alexander Rusev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Faulk! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Rusev! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rusev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rusev wants to control but Faulk is keeping him busy. Faulk prevents Rusev from improving position. Faulk is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Rusev passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Faulk! Rusev is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Faulk is surviving well by controlling Rusev's body position as best he can. Faulk definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rusev won't let Faulk get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Faulk is desperately trying to improve his position but Rusev has a good base and remains in mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rusev takes Faulk's back. Rusev trying to control. Rusev patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
That's one minute gone in the round. Rusev is looking for the choke from the back position but Faulk is controlling his hands well. Rusev is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Faulk has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Well, with Rusev on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Faulk is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Faulk is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Faulk wants to get back to his feet. Rusev is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Rusev looking to break Faulk's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Faulk remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rusev will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faulk trying to get back to his feet but Rusev is in full control for now. Rusev is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Faulk is defending well though. Rusev let's go of the attempt for now. Rusev is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Faulk has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Rusev has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Faulk taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Rusev doesn't care though - he's delighted!

An out of breath Alexander Rusev thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
