Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hyatt Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miles O Brien!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brien is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wayne looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
O Brien closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
O Brien misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for O Brien.
O Brien fails to pull guard.
O Brien pulls guard effortlessly.
O Brien has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Wayne wants to stand but O Brien is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Brien looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wayne tries to stand but O Brien is controlling from the bottom.
O Brien is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wayne trying to stand up but can't free himself from O Brien's guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
O Brien ducks under a wild hook from Wayne.
O Brien fails in his attempt to clinch.
O Brien gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wayne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wayne lands a left and a right that send O Brien crashing to the mat, dazed. Wayne thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
O Brien is rocked!
It looks like Miles O Brien has been cut.
O Brien circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Wayne. O Brien falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Wayne!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hyatt Wayne!
A less than humble Hyatt Wayne misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
