Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Zhdanov (ranked 1540 p4p, 2073 weight class) and Jeremy Cross (ranked 201 p4p, 253 weight class). Zhdanov's entrance music is Малиновая Лада (Raspberry Lada) by Gayazov$ Brother$. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cross's choice of entrance music: Folk Metal. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zhdanov.
Zhdanov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zhdanov swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Cross takes one to the chin there.
Cross connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Roman Zhdanov has been cut.
Zhdanov moves away from the strike by Cross.
It looked like Zhdanov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A punch lands to the side of Cross 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Jeremy Cross has been cut.
Cross throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zhdanov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zhdanov lands with a nice body kick.
Cross moves out of range as Zhdanov strikes.
Zhdanov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cross tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zhdanov was well out of range. Poor timing from Cross.

Zhdanov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cross, pushing him back against the cage.
Cross lands an uppercut.
Zhdanov misses with a punch on the inside.
Zhdanov lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cross backwards.
Zhdanov tries a body shot but Cross blocks it.
Zhdanov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Cross can't break the clinch.
Cross is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Cross scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cross struggles to land a body shot inside as Zhdanov controls his hands.

Zhdanov is breathing heavily.
Cross doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Zhdanov misses with the head strike.
Cross is looking to break free of the clinch but Zhdanov has double underhooks.
Cross blocks an uppercut.
Zhdanov lands a knee to the body.
Cross can't find room to land a body shot as Zhdanov controls the action.

Zhdanov pushes off an throws an elbow but Cross leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Zhdanov throws a punch but it's blocked by Cross.

Cross struggles to land a body shot inside as Zhdanov controls his hands.
Cross breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zhdanov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Zhdanov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cross eats them both and turns towards Zhdanov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Zhdanov delivers a nice body kick.
Cross looks to throw the jab but Zhdanov is out of range.
Zhdanov scores with a jab. Cross acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Cross walks into a stiff left hand from Zhdanov.
That has opened up Jeremy Cross's cut even more.
Zhdanov slips a jab from Cross.
Cross misses with an uppercut
and Zhdanov counters with a flying knee that drops Cross! Zhdanov dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Roman Zhdanov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
In defeat, Jeremy Cross stepped up to the mic, saying 'BY THE LIGHT OF THE MOON!'.
