Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Bleak (ranked 829 p4p, 1337 weight class) and Paulo Kogos (ranked 112 p4p, 179 weight class). Bruno Bleak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruno Bleak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Kogos! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kogos shoots in and gets a takedown into Bleak's guard. Kogos wants to control from the top but Bleak keeps moving. Kogos scoring with punches to the head and body. Bleak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kogos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kogos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kogos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kogos looking to sit in guard and control but Bleak gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kogos wants to sweep but no luck. Kogos working for a triangle but Bleak defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bleak passes Kogos's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kogos tries to get to full guard but Bleak has control of the leg. Bleak is pressing down on Kogos's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kogos is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kogos is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bleak jumps into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bleak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bleak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kogos is trying to improve his position. Kogos regains half guard, as Bleak was trying to land strikes. Bleak trying to pass the guard but Kogos defending well. Kogos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kogos can't keep his opponent in guard - Bleak advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kogos tries to get to full guard but Bleak has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bleak is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kogos gets full guard. Bleak advances position into side control! Bleak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kogos tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kogos keeps trying to improve his position. Kogos on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Bleak lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kogos down.

Kogos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bleak looking to pass the guard. Bleak passes Kogos's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bleak is working for a kimura but Kogos is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kogos manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kogos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Nicely done. Kogos takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kogos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bleak looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kogos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bleak.

Paulo Kogos seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bleak on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kogos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It looked like Bleak wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Kogos misses with a double jab.

It looks like Paulo Kogos has been cut. Bleak looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kogos scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kogos working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Bleak ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kogos works Bleak's body with a nice hook. Kogos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bleak manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kogos pushes down on Bleak's leg and manages to get into half guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bleak looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bleak slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kogos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bleak is keeping the position for now. Bleak is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kogos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Oh Bleak is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kogos can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
