The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins misses with a straight right.
Collins gets tackled into the ropes by Van Hire. Van Hire maintains the clinch.
Van Hire misses with a punch to the body.
Collins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Collins takes a shot to the head.
Collins wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Van Hire works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Collins is trying to force a seperation but Van Hire has the dominant position.
Van Hire has Collins pressed against the ropes, preventing Collins from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Collins can't break the clinch.
Collins tries to break free but Van Hire pushes him back against the ropes.
Collins wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Collins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Hire misses with an attempted mid kick.
Collins is looking for the big counter here.
A low kick from Collins is predictable there
and before Collins can reset, Van Hire rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Collins is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!
Collins misses with a lunging right hand
and Van Hire counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Whealer Van Hire!
A relieved looking Whealer Van Hire thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
