Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micah Frank (ranked 1206 p4p, 1416 weight class) and Mike Camble (ranked 157 p4p, 192 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micah Frank!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Camble!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Frank takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Camble clobbers Frank with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Camble misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Frank.
Frank went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Camble works Frank's body with a nice hook.
Nice shot lands for Camble.

Frank instigates a clinch.

Frank breaks from the clinch.
Camble paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A lazy left from Camble finds it's target.
Camble lands a really nice looking cross but Frank seems unphased.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Camble walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Frank misses with a looping left.
Camble throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Frank.
Camble throws a hook but Frank blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Frank gets a clinch.
Frank blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Camble is trying to drag Frank to the mat but Frank just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Frank lands a right hand that snaps the head of Camble backwards.
Camble struggles to land a body shot inside as Frank controls his hands.
A nice left hand lands by Frank.

Camble is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Frank can't fight it off and eventually Camble manages to take the fight to the floor. Frank looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Camble wants to control from the top but Frank keeps moving.
Frank wants to sweep here but Camble controlling him for the moment.
Frank looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Camble preventing the sweep.
Frank working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Camble.
Camble missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Camble is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Camble trying to control but Frank is working from the bottom.
Frank knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Camble on the ground.
Camble is stalling in the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Camble swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Frank gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Camble counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Camble is trying to control the action in half guard but Frank is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Camble is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Camble seems to be looking for submissions.

Camble has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Frank defend it? Camble steps over the head and cranks it - Frank is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Camble!

Mike Camble is the new welterweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Mike Camble started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Micah Frank spoke after the fight, saying 'Fuck losing. Losing is mainstream.'.
