Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Riker (ranked 360 p4p, 943 weight class) and Xandao Couceiro (ranked 23 p4p, 46 weight class). Riker comes to the cage accompanied by In The Summertime. Couceiro has chosen Welcome to my Nightmare- Alice Cooper as his entrance music. The key to victory for William Riker has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Riker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xandao Couceiro!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riker swings for the body but Couceiro moves out of range.
Riker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Couceiro.
Riker slaps away a takedown attempt from Couceiro, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A little feinted left hand from Riker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Riker darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Couceiro doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Riker counter with a right hand.
No luck for Couceiro with that takedown attempt.
Riker swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
William Riker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xandao Couceiro.
Couceiro shoots in for a takedown but Riker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As Couceiro looks to move away, Riker throws a big counter combo but Couceiro just gets out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Couceiro circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Riker. Couceiro falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Riker!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). William Riker!
