Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ervin Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Method Man - Bring da Pain as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels scores with a nice strike.


It looks like Jimmy Jackson has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Daniels ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Daniels sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Daniels will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jackson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Daniels lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Daniels misses with an uppercut. Jackson saw that one coming.
Daniels punishes Jackson's body with a nice straight punch.
Daniels throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease.
Daniels throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Daniels comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daniels lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Daniels throws a lazy right hand but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Daniels didn't expect that.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Daniels holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jackson throwing strikes here but Daniels is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Daniels is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jackson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jackson prevents Daniels from getting the reversal.
Jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Daniels is looking to escape.

Daniels takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jackson motions for Daniels to come forward. Jackson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.
Jackson lands an overhand right.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Daniels defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson.

and Daniels counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Daniels lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.


The cut above Jimmy Jackson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Daniels throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Daniels stuns Jackson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Jimmy Jackson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Daniels throws a shot from downtown. Jackson moves away and avoids it.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Daniels finish him?
Daniels misses with a wild combination.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Jackson walks straight into a right hand from Daniels - that's dropped him! Daniels jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jackson from any more punishment! Jackson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ervin Daniels!
