With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Never Hurry!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Bowers.
Bowers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bowers dips to his left and cracks Hurry with an uppercut!
Bowers misses with an uppercut
and Bowers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Art Bowers has been cut.
We've been told by Bowers's head coaches at New York Public Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hurry keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hurry looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Art Bowers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bowers throws an overhand right that lands on Hurry's shoulder, as Hurry tries to avoid the shot.
Bowers throws a series of punches but Hurry moves out of range.
Hurry swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bowers moves into range and connects with a jab.

and Hurry counters with a crisp one two that drops Bowers! Hurry thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bowers to his feet! Bowers is in big trouble!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bowers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hurry. Hurry circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Oh Bowers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hurry swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bowers appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Bowers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hurry moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hurry throws out a counter right but Bowers avoids it with no problem.
Bowers seems to have got his legs back now.

Bowers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bowers slips under a jab.
Hurry throws a right and a left that Bowers avoids nicely.

Hurry displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bowers throws out the jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hurry! But no joy.
Hurry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bowers uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hurry steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bowers. That one must have hurt.
Bowers throws the left hand but Hurry avoids the punch easily.
Bowers misses with a double jab
and Hurry cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bowers just misses with a punch to the body.
Hurry looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Bowers scores with a nice head shot.
Bowers throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Hurry lands a jab to the head.
Bowers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hurry circles away quickly and effectively.
Bowers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bowers lands a really nice looking cross but Hurry seems unphased.
Bowers throws a shot from downtown. Hurry moves away and avoids it.
Nice body punch from Bowers.
Hurry defending well as Bowers loads up on a big left hand.
Nice defenses there by Hurry.
Hurry throws out a counter right but Bowers avoids it with no problem.
A punch lands to the side of Hurry 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bowers throws a hook but Hurry blocks it.
Bowers scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bowers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hurry sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Hurry was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hurry misses with a straight left.
Bowers throws a sloppy head kick
and Bowers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bowers misses with a hook
and Hurry counters with a huge left! Bowers is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hurry isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Bowers from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hurry!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Never Hurry!
Never Hurry seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
