Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Keith Yrkje (ranked 972 p4p, 840 weight class) and Rupert Helenius (ranked 136 p4p, 119 weight class). Yrkje's entrance music is As Good As I Once Was. A fine choice. Rupert Helenius has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toby Keith Yrkje!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rupert Helenius!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yrkje ducks under a wild hook from Helenius.
Yrkje looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Yrkje misses with a right hand
and Helenius counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Toby Keith Yrkje has been cut.
Helenius clinches.
Helenius jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yrkje walks away with a smile on his face. Helenius gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Toby Keith Yrkje seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Helenius takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Helenius counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Helenius fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yrkje avoids it really well and circles away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Helenius has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Yrkje bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Helenius's head backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Yrkje lands a big uppercut and Helenius crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Helenius looks OK. Yrkje waves Helenius back to his feet!

Yrkje fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Helenius manages to avoid it.

so Helenius counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Helenius is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yrkje is just riding it out for now. Helenius eventually gives up the hold.

Helenius fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yrkje has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Helenius bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Yrkje is looking to control Helenius's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yrkje avoid being mounted?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Yrkje is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Helenius's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Helenius's back!

The referee asks Yrkje politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Yrkje prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Yrkje wants to lay and pray for a moment but Helenius keeps working.

Yrkje is keen to just control but Helenius is a slippery customer.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's time! Yrkje's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Helenius scores with a counter punch that sends Yrkje to the canvas! Helenius smells blood - he's punishing Yrkje with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Yrkje has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rupert Helenius!
A relieved looking Rupert Helenius thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
