The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggs throws a series of strikes that have Kurokawa backpedaling.
Decent striking displayed by Diggs there.
Diggs uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

and Kurokawa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Diggs is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Diggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kurokawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Diggs is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kurokawa trying to control but Diggs is having none of it.
Kurokawa misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
BOOM! Kurokawa connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Diggs wants to control but Kurokawa is having none of it.
