Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Maeda (ranked 370 p4p, 1073 weight class) and Jerricho Patterson (ranked 57 p4p, 158 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda throws out a powerful jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maeda. Patterson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Patterson lands with a nice combination. Maeda backs away looking to recover.

Patterson throws out a loose jab but Maeda uses good head movement to avoid it.
Maeda swings for the body but Patterson moves out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Maeda. That snapped Patterson's head back.
Patterson looks to land a combination but Maeda avoids it well.
Maeda throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Patterson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Patterson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Maeda on the side of the head.

Jerricho Patterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
