PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hyatt Wayne (ranked 2332 p4p, 1694 weight class) and Juan Carlos (ranked 294 p4p, 236 weight class). Wayne kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is SOAD - Aerials. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wayne lands a left and a right that send Carlos crashing to the mat, dazed. Wayne thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Carlos is rocked!
It looks like Juan Carlos has been cut. Wayne lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Carlos - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Wayne!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hyatt Wayne! Hyatt Wayne decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
