Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Munhoz (ranked 1679 p4p, 1759 weight class) and Fredrik White (ranked 225 p4p, 236 weight class). White has chosen Seven nation army as his entrance music. Fredrik White has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Munhoz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fredrik White! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Munhoz. Munhoz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
White looks for a takedown but Munhoz sprawls well. Munhoz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but White swivels and escapes. White has a takedown stuffed. White pushes Munhoz up against the cage in a clinch. White has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Munhoz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Alex Munhoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fredrik White. Munhoz drops down looking for an ankle pick but White pulls his leg out and moves away.
White tries to close the distance and clinch but Munhoz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White has taken the fight to the clinch.
Munhoz blocks a punch to the side of the head.
White dodges an elbow strike from Munhoz.
White lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Munhoz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with White's elbow. A short uppercut from White.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from White fails to land. A quick uppercut on the inside from White. Munhoz has clasped his hands together around White's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. White is trying to buck Munhoz off. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth. White is not content to let Munhoz control the position. White is trying to buck Munhoz off. Munhoz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White is letting Munhoz control him for a moment. White tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. White is keeping busy.
Munhoz has got one arm under White's chin. This could be trouble... White trying to control the other hand but Munhoz gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, White has tapped out! The fight is over!
