Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Jones (ranked 1419 p4p, 912 weight class) and Blade Wilson (ranked 215 p4p, 137 weight class). Kevin Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blade Wilson! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wilson works his way to full guard. Good work. Jones works over Wilson with some ground and pound from guard. Wilson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wilson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones won't allow Wilson to sweep him here. Wilson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. It looks like Kevin Jones has been cut. Jones has his takedown stuffed and Wilson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wilson ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Wilson clinches with his opponent.
Wilson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Jones lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully. Wilson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Blade Wilson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kevin Jones's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Wilson throws a chopping leg kick but Jones manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Wilson clinches. Wilson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. A right hand to the body from Wilson.

Jones's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Jones drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wilson tries to work over Jones's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Wilson is pressed up against the cage. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wilson down to the mat. Wilson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Wilson's shoulder, as Wilson tries to avoid the shot. Wilson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kevin Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jones slips nicely into half guard. Jones moves into full mount! Wilson won't be happy about that!

Jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wilson's face.
Jones lands a heavy elbow. BOOM! Jones connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wilson is looking to escape. Wilson has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Jones's lack of action.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wilson's head. Jones works his way into full mount! Wilson is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jones landing shots from mount. Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jones lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones looking to finish Wilson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Wilson! Wilson is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jones looks to land a right hand but Wilson moved out of range. Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Wilson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. Wilson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jones tries to keep at a distance but Wilson has taken the fight into the clinch. Wilson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Wilson lands on the inside with an uppercut. Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wilson can do to turn this around? Wilson misses with a punch to the body.
Wilson can't find room to land a body shot as Jones controls the action.

Wilson thuds his right hand into Jones's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kevin Jones's cut is getting worse. Jones throws a hook but Wilson blocks it. Nice takedown defense from Wilson. No joy for Jones on that attempt. Wilson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
It seemed like Wilson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Jones misses with a right hand enabling Wilson to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones is rocked! Jones misses with a hook
and Wilson counters with a big left hand that crumples Jones! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
