Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Walter Payton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tino Takala!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walter Payton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takala tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Payton was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

A little jabbing left from Takala on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Payton cracks Takala with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Takala looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Payton finish him?

Takala dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Payton. That did some damage!

It looks like Walter Payton has been cut.
Takala uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Payton.
Takala let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Payton stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Takala counters by clinching up.
Payton keeps control of Takala as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Takala's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Payton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Takala tries a quick counter leg kick but Payton is wise to it.
Payton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takala.
Takala avoids the body shot from Payton.
Takala closes the distance and pushes Payton back into the cage.
Payton pushes Takala back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Payton is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Come on Takala - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

and Takala counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Payton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Takala avoids the body shot from Payton.
Payton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Takala thuds a left hand into Payton's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Takala drops Payton with a nice combination! Takala dives into Payton's guard, looking to finish!
Payton is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Takala gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oh Payton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takala rushes Payton and presses him up against the cage.
Takala breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Payton is aggressively charging in as Takala backs up avoiding any damage. Takala tosses out a jab and Payton runs right into it face first! Payton is out cold! Takala dropped down on all fours and is barking in Payton's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tino Takala!
After winning the bout, Tino Takala thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Walter Payton spoke after the fight, saying 'Bullsh*t'.
