PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baldimir Zsofka (ranked 800 p4p, 1546 weight class) and Kim Kitsuragi (ranked 116 p4p, 222 weight class). Zsofka kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Raid - MF DOOM . Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baldimir Zsofka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Kitsuragi !
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsofka on the wrong end of a nice hook.

It looks like Baldimir Zsofka has been cut.
Kitsuragi misses with a looping right.
Zsofka fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Zsofka.
Zsofka throws a push kick but Kitsuragi slaps the foot to one side.
Kitsuragi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kitsuragi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zsofka.
Kitsuragi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zsofka listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Zsofka lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kitsuragi tests Zsofka's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kitsuragi moves out of range of the body kick.

Kitsuragi throws a sloppy head kick and Zsofka moves out of range easily.
Zsofka throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Zsofka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice cross by Zsofka.
Zsofka comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kitsuragi looks to land a right hand but Zsofka moved out of range.
Kitsuragi throws a big shot that misses.
Zsofka scores with a jab to the body.
Kitsuragi throws a head kick that misses.
Zsofka slips a straight right by Kitsuragi .
An attempted straight right counter from Zsofka misses the target.
Zsofka has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Zsofka there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kitsuragi lands with a kick to the temple. Zsofka shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Zsofka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little jabbing left from Kitsuragi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A jab from Zsofka does it's job there.
Baldimir Zsofka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zsofka misses with a looping right.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Zsofka, as that shot connected.
Kitsuragi misses with a right hand
and Zsofka counters with a thumping low kick.
Zsofka scores with a sloppy right hand. Kitsuragi should have avoided that one.
Zsofka slips a jab from Kitsuragi .
It looked like Zsofka wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A low kick from Zsofka is predictable there
and Kitsuragi counters with a straight right hand.
The fighters circling - Zsofka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zsofka lands a really nice looking cross but Kitsuragi seems unphased.
Zsofka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zsofka cracks Kitsuragi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Zsofka throws a lazy uppercut
letting Kitsuragi counter with a right hand.
Zsofka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kitsuragi .
Zsofka pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kitsuragi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zsofka. Kitsuragi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kitsuragi avoids the head kick by Zsofka.
Kitsuragi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Zsofka connects with the punch.
Kitsuragi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

A head kick by Kitsuragi misses
and Zsofka counters with a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kitsuragi works the jab nicely.
Kitsuragi needs to keep his hands up - Zsofka had a free shot at his head there.
Kitsuragi tests Zsofka's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Zsofka throws a leg kick but Kitsuragi sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A cross from Zsofka lands.
Nice body punch from Kitsuragi .
Zsofka on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Zsofka throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kitsuragi counters with a big right hand! Oh Zsofka is in trouble here! Kitsuragi follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kim Kitsuragi !
Kim Kitsuragi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
